meme, what are your opinions about the usage of brackets in fics? i have a really bad habit of using a lot of them, and i think it looks/sounds fine, but what do you think is overdoing it?

i've never seen brackets in fic - do you mean parentheses? i like using them from time to time when an idea doesn't go very well with the flow of the sentence but i still want to add a little detail, but using more than one per scene i think is an overkill. :/ but it really depends how you use it!

when i was there, it seemed like starbucks was... around, but not nearly as popular as it is in america. granted i was only there for 8 days, but i got coffee every day and only once did i get it from a starbucks -- it seems like coffeeshop/bakery combos like "a twosome place", "coffee bean" and "paris baguette" are more popular than starbucks.

so, some person went on a csjh the grace video (dancer in the rain) and commented that they had nothing on 2ne1, who could sing and dance so much better.

i laughed out loud, because as much as i love 2ne1, csjh are pretty much up there with beg in vocal abilities, and they have a hip-hop dancing ballerina in the group. just no.

Just the other day I was wondering why all these kpop stars promote in Japan, but there aren't really Japanese idols who promote in Korea.

And now I find out that Kis-My-Ft2 has signed under SME (because of their Avex link) for Korean promotion. Hmmmm. Not happy about it being SME but at least it means a lot of publicity. I'm excited *___*

kpop stars promote in japan because they stand to make way more money in the japanese market than in korea. japan has one of the biggest music markets besides the us.

Chansik was technically only a part-time worker, so working late into night wasn't his idea of fun on a weekend night, but he was sure he could handle it. After all, he just had to file things and get rid of any papers they didn't need. He and one of the other part-timers, Junghwan, had already sorted out what needed to be thrown out, so all he had to do now was file the rest of the things and actually throw the rubbish out. The sun had long set, so they'd turned on the lights. Junghwan was hovering in the door, however, despite having clocked out already.

“Hyung, I can handle this, really,” Chansik insisted, trying to shoo Junghwan out of the door.

“Are you sure? It'll only be you and the security, you know,” Junghwan whined, twisting the strap of his bag nervously with both hands. “What if the ghost gets you?”

Chansik sighed. “There are no such things as ghosts. We've talked about this before.”

“But you've heard the stories, too, haven't you? Bad things happen to people who are here alone.”

“Well I'm not going to be alone. Like you said, Dongwoo-hyung is here.”
