if the world actually ends this year maybe i'll come up with a punnier title.

if you want to ask mod a question or raise an issue, do it in the comments to the screened mod post. not here. also, don't post ponies.

once upon a time it was normal to lie about who you were on the internet and it wasn't a big deal at all. or at least, no one really cared. i kind of miss those days.

i still think the majority really doesn't care. the internet is like a infinite roleplay, or a limitless childhood: you can be a cowboy or an astronaut but you have to deal with what comes with it. why take that way from anyone?

exactly. exactly. that's how it always was. maybe every now and then someone would be like 'oh by the way i'm not actually a boy i just want to be one so i was one here' and people would shrug and move on and no one cared. but i wouldn't say the majority doesn't care, i think it's moved from the majority not caring to the majority caring.

i think it differs from place to place. kpop fandom seems to be pretty unforgiving and harsh. but then the anon below has a super valid point.

i think it depends on the amount of trust you courted and gained while pretending to be someone else... even back in the day.

it depends on whether you get emotionally invested. i'm assuming you're referring to the tj drama; that was only a big deal because he had "friends".

da but kpop is also different because a lot of us meet up or know each other irl from concerts and stuff. for him to cozy up to people and be close friends with people in the way that people in fandom do in order to have someone to go to events with is another layer of deception. it's not just lying about who you are, it's also about doing stuff like that to gain the trust of other people and asking them to be honest and open with you.

when was this time?
