if the world actually ends this year maybe i'll come up with a punnier title.

if you want to ask mod a question or raise an issue, do it in the comments to the screened mod post. not here. also, don't post ponies.

we should invent a term like mnf... medium-name fan... for people who are well known inside nugu fandoms but not outside of them LMFAO :(

i guess it probably depends on the fandom, too. like it's a lot harder to become a bnf in the super junior fandom because it's so huge, and has so much material already existing (with which i am uncomfortably intimate bc i've been helping miracle mods retag all of their entries literally dating back to 2006). but for a smaller/newer fandom like idk myname or even infinite, becoming a bnf (if bnfs can exist in small fandoms; arguable) would be less difficult because there's less preexisting material to contend with.

nayrt but i think in nugu fandoms everyone knows each other anyway though, so there's no need for a mnf?

i guess it depends on your definition of "know"... like i've written for infinite fandom enough that if people comment on my fic i recognize some usernames, but i wouldn't say i know... well, anybody in infinite fandom, really.

though idk if infinite is still nugu enough to count...

anyway just to clarify i don't mean i think i'm a bnf/mnf/anykindoff except the kind that occasionally writes fics lmao 8(

i'm in a small fandom and i certainly recognize certain usernames, but i definitely do not know everyone

i think writing does not have to mean socializing with other people, which is basically the function of a bnf

i think a bnf is a writer who socializes.
