(Anonymous) 2012-01-05 11:50 am (UTC)(link)i guess it probably depends on the fandom, too. like it's a lot harder to become a bnf in the super junior fandom because it's so huge, and has so much material already existing (with which i am uncomfortably intimate bc i've been helping miracle mods retag all of their entries literally dating back to 2006). but for a smaller/newer fandom like idk myname or even infinite, becoming a bnf (if bnfs can exist in small fandoms; arguable) would be less difficult because there's less preexisting material to contend with.
